Football is the most played sport in the world, with over 270 millions people. There are about 301 000 clubs, 1 700 000 teams, 840 000 referee and over 100 000 professional players. It is an Olympic sport since 1908. A World Cup is held every 4 year, and it's the most prestigious football tournament. The current world champion is France, but the next cup is in a few month, so we'll see who will be the next champion. The average salary in Ligue 1 is 94.000 euros.
