Marissa Mayer, a great computer scientist and American entrepreneur, was born in 1975 in the United States. This blond, blue-eyed young woman grew up with her parents, her brother and a golden retriever. During her childhood, she practiced basketball, volleyball but also cheerleading in high school. After graduating in 1993, Marissa entered Stanford University after being accepted to 10 prestigious universities. Her first goal was to become a neurosurgeon, but she gave up after a year. She therefore turned to computer studies which later enabled her to join Google in 1999. She is known because it was she who participated in the creation of Google maps and Gmail. Finally, she left Google in 2012 to join Yahoo.
