D'après le théorème de Pythagore :

[tex]bc {}^{2} = 12 {}^{2} + 5 {}^{2} [/tex]

[tex]bc {}^{2} = 12 \times 12 + 5 \times 5[/tex]

[tex]bc {}^{2} = 169[/tex]

[tex]bc = \sqrt{169} [/tex]

[tex]bc = 13 \: cm[/tex]
