Permitted / Prohibited areas - Students must be in their dormitories and in bed by 9 PM every night. - The Forbidden Forest is expressly forbidden to students without adult supervision. - The Restricted Section of the Library is forbidden to students, unless they present a signed note from a professor. - Students must not enter the common rooms of another house. Conduct - Students must attend all classes, meals, and assemblies. - All students must be in uniform at all times. - Magic can only be used in relation to school work. Students can cast spells in classrooms and other study areas. Magic is not allowed in the corridors or in the library. First Year students are not allowed to possess their own brooms. - Fighting, bullying, swearing and shouting in the halls are strictly forbidden.
